Strategic Wealth is an institutional adviser and asset consultant, but on occasions we provide access and or information to individuals. As a licensed financial institution in Botswana, we are committed to supporting the local financial markets, to treating clients fairly, and to providing financial training and development.
To achieve our business and training objectives, Strategic Wealth must collect and make use of personal information.
Personal information is important, and we treat all personal information whether in respect of clients, their officers, employees or members, and even members of the public carefully, responsibly and with respect.
Personal information includes any information which can be used to identify or qualify a person / entity such as age, name, identity number, contact details, financial details, banking details etc. Personal information also includes biometric details, personal financial details including but not limited to income and capital levels, financial assets and liabilities, health and lifestyle information.
Personal information can be collected electronically (website, email), verbally, in writing or via our Retirement Application.
Personal information is processed when it is first submitted or collected and then may be further processed to provide clients / participants with information or outcomes as required. Processing includes receiving, collecting, using, calculating, merging, linking, organising, storing, retrieving, disclosing, erasing, archiving or disposing of personal information.
We may share personal information with third parties but will only do with consent, explicit or implied and if it is necessary to fulfil our business purposes, or it is the person’s/entity’s interest, or it is required by law, or we have a public duty to do so.
Where we provide personal information to third parties, we will check that they are committed reasonably to protecting such information in terms of their own local information protection laws or in terms of our contract with them.
Strategic Wealth Website – We use cookie technology on our website and monitor user experience. Our website may link to other websites. Kindly read their specific privacy and security policies as we cannot accept any liability for their standards.
Electronic communications – We make use of a variety of publicly hosted electronic channels and media to communicate and train clients and market participants. Any person/ entity making use of such channel or media does so entirely at their own risk and Strategic Wealth disclaims any responsibility for any adverse outcome involving personal information arising out of participation with such channel or media.
Any person/entity for whom we hold personal information has the right to access to that information, to ask us to correct or update that information, or, subject to our business requirements and legal and contractual rights (and obligations), to ask for that information to be deleted or de-identified so that the person/entity is no longer associated with that information.
Any person who objects to Strategic Wealth holding their personal information or to the manner in which it is being used, may complain to the Compliance Officer at Strategic Wealth –compliance@strategicwealth.info.
